Dr. Emily Ward
DVM, DAVDC

Dentist & Oral Surgeon

Dr. Ward graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 and was in general practice for several years before pursuing her residency in dentistry in 2017. She trained at Eastside Veterinary Dentistry in Seattle, Washington and completed her training in 2019. After finishing her residency, she started a dentistry service at a multi-specialty hospital in 2020 in Ohio and has been keeping busy since in a rapidly growing practice.

Dr. Ward has special interests in periodontal surgery and guided tissue regeneration. She enjoys caring for patients with challenging anesthetic concerns and working with owners to make sure they are well educated about their pets' dental health and ongoing need for routine care. She enjoys providing CE to local veterinarians and veterinary technicians and helps to train clinics in the use of their dental equipment. When not busy in her practice, Dr. Ward enjoys spending her time with her two young children, particularly taking walks, going swimming, and camping when the weather allows. She has two elderly dogs, a mixed breed and a greyhound, and a toothless cat.

Dr. Lorraine Hiscox
DVM, FAVD, DAVDC

Dr. Hiscox moved to Canada in 1981 from Bermuda with her husband to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. A 1987 Ontario Veterinary College graduate with over 20 years in small animal general practice, Dr. Hiscox then started on the path to specialize in dentistry.

In 2012 she completed a Fellowship in Veterinary Dentistry and in 2014 a residency in dentistry and oral surgery at the University of Montreal. Dr. Hiscox worked as a veterinary dentist in London, Ontario from 2014 – 2017. After losing her husband to cancer, she moved to Ottawa to take a position at the Ottawa Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital as their Veterinary Dentist and Oral Surgeon. After six very fulfilling years there where she was privileged to work with an exemplary support team and dedicated specialists in multiple disciplines of veterinary medicine and surgery, she has returned to the GTA to be closer to her two sons and their families.

or over 10 years, Dr. Hiscox has been dedicated to providing wetlabs and lectures as well as custom onsite training for general practitioners interested in dentistry.

Dr. Hiscox has been privileged to have wonderful pets - currently three family dogs - Kraken (an adopted German Shepherd Cross and two little white dogs - Sparky and Maggie - (Bermuda transplants) and grandpuppy Baloo (a Leonberger). In downtime, she enjoys improving her golf game, yoga, cooking and reading and after living in Canada for almost 40 years Dr. Hiscox is now extremely proud to call herself a new Canadian!
